ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T softball hits the road this week for a pair of midweek doubleheaders, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Rogers State (2 p.m. and 4 p.m.) before traveling to Northeastern State on Friday, Feb. 27 for games at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
About the Miners
Missouri S&T enters the week at 10-6, hitting .305 as a team with 132 hits, 14 home runs, and 77 RBI through 16 games.
Claire Lopez (Olathe, KS/Olathe Northwest) leads the Miners with a .481 average and .578 on-base percentage, while
Trista Grobe (DeSoto, MO/DeSoto) (.385),
Taylor Nelson (Hailey, ID/Phillips Exeter Academy) (.340), and
Morgan Williams (Midland, MI/Midland) (.333) have provided consistent production in the middle of the lineup. S&T has also shown patience at the plate with 63 walks and 18 stolen bases on the year.
AJ Agers (DeSoto, MO/St. Pius X) leads the staff with a 3.10 ERA and five wins, while Mia Miller (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) has added four victories and 34 strikeouts. Defensively, S&T owns a .971 fielding percentage and has turned 15 double plays, giving the Miners steady support behind their pitching staff.
About the Hillcats
Rogers State enters Wednesday's doubleheader at 11-4 overall and has been dominant in the circle with a 1.51 team ERA while holding opponents to a .172 batting average. Offensively, the Hillcats are hitting .295 as a team, led by Raylin Morgan (.432, 3 HR, 15 RBI) and Mariah Belzer (.357), while Jaden Jordan has driven in eight runs. Rogers State has also combined for 94 strikeouts in 102 innings pitched and six shutouts on the season, showcasing a balanced squad heading into the midweek matchup.
About the Riverhawks
Northeastern State enters the week at 8-7 overall. Korynn Tindel leads the Riverhawks with a .462 average, four home runs, and 20 RBI, while Madison Nance (.295, 3 HR, 15 RBI) and Annsleigh Morris (.271, 3 HR, 13 RBI) provide additional power in the lineup. In the circle, NSU owns a 4.95 team ERA with 53 strikeouts in 100.1 innings, highlighted by Jensyn Elder's five wins and 4.13 ERA, making the Riverhawks a balanced opponent heading into Friday's doubleheader.
