INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T pitcher AJ Agers has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, following her historic performance against Thomas More at the UIS Dome Invite.
Agers delivered a dominant outing in the circle, throwing a complete-game no-hitter in the Miners' 1–0 walk-off victory. She worked eight innings, allowing zero hits, striking out seven, and surrendering just one baserunner in the contest. Agers sealed the win by inducing a groundout to end the game.
The no-hitter marks the first by a Missouri S&T pitcher since Jen O'Hara accomplished the feat in 2009 and stands as one of the top pitching performances in program history.
Agers' command and composure throughout the game were instrumental in securing the victory and helped propel the Miners to a doubleheader sweep that day.
