Women’s Basketball Closes Final GLVC Road Trip at Truman State and William Jewell

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's basketball hits the road for its final Great Lakes Valley Conference road swing of the regular season this week, traveling to face Truman State University on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5:15 p.m., before taking on William Jewell College on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.

The Miners enter the week 8–12 overall and 4–10 in GLVC play, looking to gain momentum down the stretch of conference action.

About the Miners
Missouri S&T continues to rely on its physical presence and rebounding advantage, averaging 65.9 points per game while allowing 61.6 points per contest. The Miners hold a +7.0 rebounding margin, pulling down 41.9 rebounds per game compared to 35.0 by opponents.

Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) leads the team at 13.2 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per outing, shooting 41.4 percent from the floor. In conference play, Gum has elevated her scoring to 14.3 points per game while shooting 86.4 percent at the free-throw line. Ava McCulla (St. Louis, MO/Parkway South) anchors the frontcourt with 8.3 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game, shooting 44.7 percent from the field.

Defensively, Missouri S&T averages 8.0 steals and 3.6 blocks per game, with 72 total blocks on the year.

About the Bulldogs
Truman State University enters Thursday's matchup 13–9 overall and 10–4 in GLVC play, positioning itself among the top teams in the conference standings. The Bulldogs average 70.9 points per game while allowing 65.7, shooting 42.2 percent from the field and maintaining a positive turnover margin in league play.

Emajin McCallop leads Truman at 15.4 points per game, while Morgan Miller adds 10.3 points per contest and Mallory Ott contributes 5.6 rebounds per game. Truman claimed the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season, 69–62, in Rolla.

About the Cardinals
William Jewell College enters Saturday's matchup 0–20 overall and 0–14 in GLVC play, averaging 50.7 points per game while allowing 75.5. The Cardinals are shooting 32.4 percent from the field and 25.9 percent from three-point range, and average 36.2 rebounds per contest.

Syderah Farmer leads William Jewell at 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Jariah Harris (9.6 PPG) Jalea Price (8.6 PPG) provide additional scoring options. Missouri S&T claimed the first meeting earlier this season in Rolla, 67–47.
