ORLANDO, Fla. — Junior forward Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) from Missouri S&T has been named the D2CIDA Women's Soccer National Player of the Week for her performance against the Rockhurst Hawks on Saturday, October 31. She becomes the first Miner to be named National Player of the Week since Anastasia Barcom (St. Louis, MO/Rosati-Kain) earned the honor in 2025 after after recording a shutout when S&T defeated Missouri-St. Louis 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference quarterfinal.
Benassi led S&T to a quarterfinal win over sixth-seeded Rockhurst in the GLVC Tournament on Saturday, contributing on all three Miner goals. She scored two goals within five minutes of each other and added an assist on a goal by Jenna Marti (Sammamish, WA/Eastside Catholic). She totaled 78 minutes played, five shots and two shots on goal.
