Record Breaking Meet Earns Wiedemeier GLVC Swimmer of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  --  The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) Men's Swim & Dive Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking performance against Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist.

Wiedemeier set three Missouri S&T pool records during Saturday's meet, taking first in both the 100 free with a time of 44.91 and in the 200 free with a time of 1:39.32. He also helped his team earn first in the 200 free relay by recording a pool record 20.23 split in the first 50.

This is Wiedemeier's first career Athlete of the Week award, with Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) being S&T previous honoree back in November.
