Men's Volleyball to Play Trio of Matches in Northeast Trip

NEW JERSEY & NEW YORK  --  Missouri S&T Men's Volleyball is traveling to the Northeast this week. They will face Fairleigh Dickinson, Dominican (NY), and St. Thomas Aquinas all in a three day stretch.

About the Miners
S&T split their first two matches of the season last week, falling in four sets to #16 Ball State before defeating Purdue Fort Wayne in a five-set comeback. The Miners are hitting at .326 through the first nine sets of the season, ranking them 18th in NCAA Division I/II.

Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) leads the team in kills with 32, averaging 3.56 per set, adding a team-high 4.39 points per set. The team has 13.5 blocks this season and are led by Caleb Rohlwing (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) who has 8 this season. Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison) is averaging 9.56 assists per set, ranking him 14th in NCAA Division I/II.

About the Knights
Friday's match between S&T and FDU will be the Knights first of the new season. They are coming off a 2025 campaign where they went 10-14, falling to Saint Francis 3-1 in the Northeast Conference Championship.

The Knights' top two attackers from last season are returning for the 2026 season, bringing back the tandem of Dylan McFadden and Jamal Ellis who combined for 410 kills. The team graduated digs leader Grady Hoffman who ranked 16th nationally in digs per set with 2.26.

About the Chargers
Dominican is 1-1 this year, splitting two matches against Merrimack College. Junior Phineas Wiley is the team's leader in kills through two matches, recording 46 for a 5.11 average per set. The junior outside is in his first season with Chargers, transferring from Vanguard University.

Blake Krapf was the Chargers' 2025 leader in kills, but transferred to Long Island University after his redshirt freshman year. Daniel Malcolm and Tommaso Falchi combined for 135 blocks last year, with the Chargers welcoming back the latter for the new season.

About the Spartans
St. Thomas Aquinas has played in a trio of sweeps this year, falling to Pepperdine and USC before picking up their first win at Long Island. The Spartans had a strong 2025 campaign, finishing their year on a five match win streak to win the East Coast Conference championship and finish 16-9.

St. Thomas Aquinas' top outside from last season, Gabriel Vieria, transferred to Lindenwood University after a 2025 season where he recorded 339 kills. Their #2 hitter from last year, Kyran Versteegen is back though and already leading the Spartans in kills this year with 26. 

What's Next
S&T will enjoy a shorter trip next week, traveling to the St. Louis area for matches against McKendree and Lindenwood.
