ROLLA, MO -- Missouri S&T Men's Basketball is ranked #12 in the most recent edition of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, moving up four spots after a week where they defeated Drury University 81-79 on the road.
The Miners improved four spots since last week's poll, after Gannon, Southern Nazarene, Black Hills State, and West Liberty all suffered losses. They sit at #3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) standings with a 5-1 conference record that places them behind #22 Upper Iowa (7-0) and Illinois Springfield (6-1).
S&T and Upper Iowa remain the only two GLVC teams in the rankings, although McKendree is still receiving votes with three in the poll. The Miners are the second-highest ranked team in the Midwest region, trailing behind #8 Michigan Tech who picked up a key victory over then #18 Northern Michigan last week.
What's Next
S&T returns home for games against McKendree and Illinois Springfield next Thursday/Saturday. Thursday's McKendree game will also be the next Pickaxe Platoon Rewards sticker night.
