ROLLA, MO -- Eleven members from the Missouri S&T Softball team earned Scholar-Athlete honors this year from the National Fastpitch Coaches Associations. Honorees were required to maintain a GPA above 3.5 during the 2024-25 school year.
Seven of the Miners honorees came from the freshman class, with
Jordyn Davis (Broken Arrow, OK/),
Kaylee LaChappell (Oswego, IL/),
Mia Miller (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo),
Celeste Pineda (Okmulgee, OK/),
Kendyll Rackers (Hailey, IN/),
Autumn Trower (Troy, MO/), and
Joselyn Ulloa (Chicago, IL/) all making the list.
Tinley Beecham (Mapleton, IL/),
Julia Kanoy (Hamilton, Mo./Penney),
Taylor Nelson (Jefferson City, MO/Phillips Exeter Academy), and
Tori Thompson (Chandler, AZ/) rounded out the group of honorees. Additionally, LaChappell maintained a 4.0 during the academic year which also earned her the Great Lakes Valley Conference Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar honor.
