ROLLA, MO -- Four members of S&T's men's volleyball team earned Academic All-District honors this season, with
Zachary Carff (O'Fallon, Mo./St. Dominic),
Bartosz Chmielewski (Aurora, IL/Metea Valley),
Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison), and
Tyler Johnwick (Lombard, IL/Glenbard East) all earning the honor. Qualifications for the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District award is determined based on a combination of athletic participation and maintaining a GPA above 3.50.
Johnwick led the team in blocking this season, picking up an S&T record 73.0 blocks in 85 sets. Edmonds was S&T's assists leader, garnering 688 this year and setting a school record for the second year in a row. Chmielewski was the Miners' primary libero and ended the season ranked 12th in Division I/II for digs per set (2.33). Meanwhile, Carff was a key starter in all 25 matches this season, recording 157 kills, 141 digs, and 26 blocks.
