ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Athletics ranked 77
th in the Learfield Director's Cup, the second-highest finish in program history in athletic department performance.
Missouri S&T scored points in the winter in both Men's Basketball and Men's Swimming. The Miners moved up with a historic spring season. Baseball, Men's Track & Field and Men's Golf combined for 155.5 points to move Missouri S&T into 77
th place in Division II.
The Miners ranked eighth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season. Indianapolis led the way in fourth followed by Lewis in 11
th, Maryville in 46
th, McKendree in 49
th, Drury in 57
th, Missouri-St. Louis in 68
th and Lincoln in 70
th. The closest GLVC school behind S&T is Rockhurst at 125
th out of 252 total NCAA Division II schools that played in at least one NCAA championship this past year.
This is the second-best ranking for Missouri S&T since the inaugural Learfield Director's Cup following the 1995-95 season. The Miners best ranking came in 2007-08 where S&T finished in 70
th place. The Miners recorded 83
rd place in the 2023-24 season.
The 2024-25 season marks the third straight season and ninth time in history where Missouri S&T finished among the top 100 schools in the standings.
Grand Valley State earned the overall championship, followed by Wingate and West Texas A&M. Indianapolis captured fourth and Tampa rounded out the top five in fifth.
