DES MOINES, IA -- Missouri S&T had three athletes compete at the 2025 Drake Relays, with
Ethan Crouch (Rolla, MO/Rolla),
Owen Fraser (Kirksville, MO/Kirksville), and
Sam Wright (Hillsboro, MO/Hillsboro) all making the trip to Des Moines.
Wright highlighted S&T's performances at the relays with a personal record time of 53.36 in the 400m hurdles. The mark was good enough to earn him 6th place in the event, beating out Division 1 competitiors from Iowa, Iowa State, and Drake.
Fraser competed in the discus, hammer, and shot, while Crouch only competed in the latter. Crouch tossed for 14.83m in the shot, while Fraser out performed several D1 athletes to finish third with a mark of 17.48m. Fraser would go on to finish 6th in the discus and 17th in the hammer as well.
What's Next
The Miners will be in Romeoville, Illinois this week for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
