SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Miners will face #4 Missouri-St. Louis tonight at 7:30pm in the Midwest Regional Semi-Final. The UMSL Tritons played a close one last night against #5 Ferris State, defeating the Bulldogs 81-79 to advance to the regional semifinals, fending off a late run by FSU that was led by Ethan Erickson.
UMSL's leading scorer this season is Matt Enright, he is averaging 16.6 points per game and recorded another 25 in last night's win. Troy Glover II also had a good game for the Tritons in the Regional Quarterfinal, recording his 9th double-double of the year with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
The Miners are coming off one of their most high-octane wins of the season, using a 22-2 run between end of regulation and overtime to fend off #8 Malone University.
Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) picked up three blocks last night, giving him 54 on the season for a new S&T single season record.
