ROLLA, MO -- It's greenout night in Gibson Arena tomorrow evening! The Miners are going to face the Quincy Hawks at 6pm tomorrow night as they look to build on their straight sets win over Thomas More on Monday.
About the Hawks
Quincy has dropped their last six games against stiff competition, playing their last five matches against nationally ranked teams. The Hawks took then-#15 Lewis to five sets on March 1st, narrowly losing the fifth set 15-13. Serbian sophomore Aleksandar Sosa leads the team in kills, with 175, and in points, with 221.5. QU boasts one of the best blockers in the country in Relja Milosavjevic, who ranks #6 in blocks per set with 1.15. Additionally, the team is #16 in DI/DII for blocks per set with 2.375.
About the Miners
The Miners have had a good March so far, sweeping Kentucky State once and Thomas More twice, as well as taking a set against nationally-ranked McKendree University.
Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) continues to be the Miners' leader in both kills and points, but
Tyler Johnwick (Lombard, IL/Glenbard East) has been the teams' most efficient attacker to date, ranking #3 in NCAA DI/DII for hitting percentage with .500. Johnwick has also played a key role on defense, leading the team in blocks with 45 this season. His 15 solo blocks are tied for the fifth most in DI/DII as well.
Bartosz Chmielewski (Aurora, IL/Metea Valley) ranks 16th in the country in digs per set, averaging 2.18 this season.

The Miners will host for the 2025 Miner Volleyball Classic next weekend, featuring five matches with LeMoyne-Owen, Roosevelt, and Rockhurst all visiting. While
