ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball is set to play Rockhurst for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m.
Series History
The Miners are 24-15 all-time versus the Hawks. In Kansas City, the two teams are tied at 9-9. In their last two matchups, they are 2-2 with Rockhurst taking the last game on Feb. 29, 2024. In that 55-80 loss for S&T,
Morgan Luebbering (St. Thomas, MO/Fatima) had 13 points and
Chorus Davis (Kansas City, MO/Lincoln College Prep) put up nine points with nine rebounds.
About the Hawks
Rockhurst is 8-15 this season with a 6-11 record in the GLVC. They are on a two-game winning streak with wins over Southwest Baptist and Lincoln in the last week. In their 78-50 victory against Lincoln on Thursday, Macie Conway and Sadie Conway both led the team with 10 points.
Keegan Sullivan is ninth in the GLVC in points per game at 15.1 and sixth in rebounds per game with 8.4. Rebeca Garcia is second in the conference in blocks per game with 1.8. As a team, the Hawks rank first in the GLVC in blocks per game, third in offensive rebounds and fourth in three-pointers made per game.
About the Miners
Following a 67-54 victory at Southwest Baptist on Thursday, S&T is 15-8 overall and 10-7 in the GLVC. They have won their last four games with just three games to go in GLVC play. In their win at SBU,
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) led the Miners with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) and Luebbering both had 13 points for Missouri S&T.
Finley leads the Miners with 12.6 points per game, 39.4% three-point shooting and 59 total assists.
Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) is first in the GLVC and 13
th in NCAA DII in blocks per game at 2.3. S&T's defense ranks third in the GLVC, allowing 60.3 points per game. Their 4.1 blocks per game is second in the conference, just behind Rockhurst in first.
