ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball is back on the road this weekend to play Southwest Baptist on Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Series History

The Bearcats are 39-28 all-time against the Miners. Southwest Baptist won both games last season after S&T won two games in the 2022-23 season. In SBU's latest 72-67 win back on Feb. 24, 2024, Chorus Davis (Kansas City, MO/Lincoln College Prep) had 15 points for S&T. Tori Hamilton tallied 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Bearcats.

About the Bearcats

Southwest Baptist holds an 8-14 record with a 6-10 GLVC record. They are 6-5 in Bolivar, Missouri, with a 2-7 record on the road. They have lost six of their last seven games going back to Jan. 23. In their latest 75-81 loss against Rockhurst, Sierra Jones put up 20 points, while Hamilton collected 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.

Amber Storr leads the team with 13.3 points per game. Hamilton is averaging 11.7 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. She is third in the GLVC in blocks per game at 1.7. As a team, the Bearcats rank first in the conference in offensive rebounds per game, second in turnover margin and second in steals per game.

About the Miners

Missouri S&T is 14-8 this season and 9-7 in the GLVC following a three-game winning streak. S&T ranks fifth in the conference, just behind UMSL in fourth. Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) won the GLVC Player of the Week award this week following a weekend where she put up 30 points versus William Jewell and 24 against Truman. She is averaging 27.6 points per game in her last three contests.

Finley leads the Miners with 12.5 points per game, 39.3% three-point shooting and 55 total assists. Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) has 12.3 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game and 46 blocks this season. S&T's defense is third in the GLVC with just 60.6 points allowed per game. Their 3.91 blocks per game is also third in the conference.
