11/3/2025 5:11:00 PM

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's soccer begins postseason play this weekend as the No. 8 seed in the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament, traveling to face top-seeded Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 12 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.

About the Miners
The Miners (8-6-3, 6-5-3 GLVC) return to the GLVC postseason for the fourth time in program history and the first since 2023 after earning 21 points in regular-season play. S&T finished the campaign strong, closing the regular season unbeaten in its final four matches, including a 1-1 draw at Rockhurst and a 2-0 win at Southwest Baptist to secure its postseason berth.

Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) leads the Miners with 13 goals and 30 points, ranking among the top two scorers in the GLVC. Greycen Erisman (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) and Allie Workman (Olathe, KS/Olathe North) have added consistent midfield production, while goalkeeper Anastasia Barcom (St. Louis, MO/Rosati-Kain) anchors the back line with seven shutouts and a 1.82 goals-against average, earning GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 27.

About the Tritons
Missouri-St. Louis (12-3-2, 11-1-2 GLVC) enters the postseason as the No. 1 seed after finishing atop the GLVC standings with 35 points. The Tritons earned the tiebreaker over McKendree for the top seed with a 1-0 head-to-head win on Oct. 10.

UMSL captured a 1-0 victory over Missouri S&T earlier this season on Sept. 26 in Rolla. The Tritons feature one of the conference's most balanced lineups, led offensively by Gwen Maggard and Josie Maddox, while goalkeeper Rylee Griffith ranks among the GLVC leaders in both goals-against average and saves.

The Tritons are making their 20th overall and fifth consecutive appearance in the GLVC Championship Tournament.

Sunday's matchup marks the 47th all-time meeting between Missouri S&T and UMSL, with the Tritons holding the series advantage. UMSL won this year's matchup with a narrow 1-0 result in Rolla.
