INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A dozen members of Missouri S&T's football team have earned all-conference awards from the Great Lakes Valley Conference for the recently completed 2025 season, as the league announced the squad this afternoon.
Graham Carter (Liberty, MO/Liberty North), S&T's long snapper for the past four seasons, was the only player among the 12 named to the All-GLVC first team. It is the third time that Carter has been selected to the All-GLVC squad and second straight year as a first-team member.
The Miners had five second-team selections, including seniors
Reid Weber (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell),
Bentley Hart (Brookland, AR/Brookland) and
Justin Gniedziejko (Chicago, IL/Taft). Weber, named to the All-GLVC team for the first time, led the Miners with 44 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns as he finished third in the conference in receptions per game and third overall in touchdown receptions.
Hart and Gniedziejko were stalwarts on the Miner defense, as Hart recorded 35 total tackles and led S&T with seven quarterback sacks and 16.5 tackles for a loss; he also ranked among the GLVC leaders in the latter categories and finished his Miner career with 22 sacks and 40 tackles for a loss. Gniedziejko recorded 57 tackles from his linebacker position and also added an interception and two pass breakups as he finished his Miner career with 183 stops.
The All-GLVC honor was the fourth for Hart during his career as a Miner, while Gniedziejko earned All-GLVC laurels for the third time.
The other second team selections were on the offensive side of the ball in tackle
Austin Mahoney (St. Peters, MO/Fort Zumwalt South) and running back
Evan Wells (Roxana, IL/Roxana). Mahoney earned his first All-GLVC award – he was one of four Miner offensive linemen named to the overall squad – and helped lead the way for a Miner offense that produced the 10
th-most yards in a season in school history with 4,448.
Wells, a redshirt freshman, established a new school record for rushing yards by a freshman as he accumulated 732 yards and five touchdowns during the 2025 campaign. He rushed for over 100 yards on four occasions, highlighted by a 196-yard effort in S&T's win at McKendree that included a school record 99-yard touchdown run to seal the win.
The other offensive linemen to join Mahoney on the All-GLVC squad were honorable mention selections – Kumni Ibrahim,
Sam Gravert (Dewitt, IA/Central DeWitt) and
Drew Sandefur (Mount Orab, OH/Western Brown). S&T also had three defensive players earn honorable mention status in linebackers
Seneca Bradley (Clarksville, TN/Rossview) Jr., who led the Miners with 70 tackles and 8.5 for a loss and
Cameron Sturgell (Lamar, MO/Lamar), who was right behind Bradley in the tackle column with 69 stops and eight tackles behind the line of scrimmage; the third was cornerback
Max Barnes (Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley Northwest), who finished the season with 46 tackles, four pass breakups and three interceptions, all of which came in the season-ending win at Lincoln to tie an S&T single-game record.
Sturgell was an honorable mention selection on the All-GLVC team in 2024, while the other five earned their first award from the conference.
As a team, the Miners were also the recipient of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award for the 2025 season and quarterback
Jake Farrell (Scottsdale, AZ/Notre Dame Prep), who completed nearly 61 percent of his passes for 2,959 yards and 26 touchdowns during the year, was S&T's individual honoree for the award.
GLVC champion Indianapolis and Quincy each took two of the major awards, as Greyhound quarterback Gavin Sukup was named as the league's Offensive Player of the Year and Anthony Crowell was the co-recipient of the GLVC's top special teams honor along with Upper Iowa's Nathan Behne.
Quincy defensive lineman Jaylin Vaughn was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year and its quarterback, Bradyn Little, was selected as the conference's top freshman. Truman State head coach Kellen Nesbitt, who guided the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance since 1994, was named as the GLVC's Coach of the Year.
Missouri S&T finished the 2025 season with a 6-5 overall record and 4-4 mark in the GLVC which was good for a tie for fourth place in the league standings.
