ROLLA, MO -- Missouri S&T Men's Basketball has been voted the 8th team in the country by the National Association of Basketball Poll. They garnered 240 points in the poll, moving up 4 spots after ending last season ranked 12th.
The Miners are returning most of their starting lineup this season after losing senior guard
Lovell Williams (Rogers, MN/Maple Grove) and graduate guard
Ryan Sroka (Lake in the Hills, IL/Huntley).
Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette),
Alex Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit), and
Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon) are all returning starters.
S&T was the only Great Lakes Valley Conference team in the rankings, with Lincoln and Missouri-St. Louis also receiving votes; Lincoln had 25 and UMSL finished with 7 total. Michigan Tech ranked 13th while Findlay landed in 23rd, making the Miners the highest ranked of the three Midwest Region teams in the poll.

First game of the season is November 16th at Kentucky Wesleyan.
