ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T hits the road for the first of back-to-back Great Lakes Valley Conference games in the state of Illinois this weekend as it travels to Lebanon, Ill., to take on McKendree Sunday in a 1 p.m. contest.
NOTE: The game was moved to Sunday from its originally scheduled Saturday date due to the forecast of severe weather in the region throughout the day on Saturday.
The Miners, 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the GLVC, are coming off a loss to then 18
th-ranked Indianapolis and will now face the team immediately behind the Greyhounds in the conference standings in McKendree, who comes into the game on a three-game winning streak. The Miners will look to halt a two-game skid against a team that they have had tight games with in recent times; the last five meetings have been decided by one score.
McKendree rallied for a 26-24 win at Southwest Baptist last Saturday, scoring with nine seconds remaining in the contest to even its overall record at 3-3. The Bearcats come into Saturday's matchup at 3-1 in the GLVC.
