ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball is back at home this weekend when they face Drury on Saturday at 1 p.m.
About the Panthers
Drury holds an undefeated 5-0 record in the GLVC with a 9-3 overall record. They come into this game on a three-game winning streak and a 3-0 away record. In their latest 67-61 win over Rockhurst on Jan. 4, Caitlynn Daniels tallied 20 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
Daniels leads the Panthers with 14.4 points per game and 32.6 minutes per game. Rhi Gibbons is averaging 14.3 points per game and Sara Mendel has 8.1 rebounds per game. As a team, the Panthers are first in the GLVC in scoring (80.4), second in field goal percentage (46.8), second in three-point percentage (37.5) and third in rebounds per game (40.6). Drury was picked to place second in the GLVC with five first-place votes.
About the Miners
After Sunday's contest at William Jewell was rescheduled to Jan. 20, S&T last played on Jan. 3 at Truman. In that 74-72 win,
Chorus Davis (Kansas City, MO/Lincoln College Prep) provided heroics as she picked up the game-winning layup with one second left.
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) recorded 13 points and nine rebounds in their win. S&T goes into this game on their own three-game winning streak and a 7-1 home record.
Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) leads with 10.8 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. From three-point range,
Addyson Kent (North Vernon, IN/Jennings County) is 16
th in the nation with a 43.9 percentage.
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) ranks eighth in the country with a 2.6 A/TO ratio. As a team, the Miners rank 20
th in the nation in A/TO ratio at 1.12. S&T was placed in 12
th in the GLVC Preseason Poll.
