ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball stays on the road this week to play Illinois Springfield on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Series History
The Miners are 14-7 all-time versus the Prairie Stars dating back to 2009. Their last matchup came on Dec. 2, 2023, where UIS won 78-71 in Rolla. Before that, S&T had won their last two matchups.
About the Prairie Stars
UIS is 3-14 this season with a 2-7 GLVC record. Prior to their three-game losing streak, they were on a three-game winning streak against Saint Ambrose, Indianapolis and Truman. In their most recent 50-63 loss at Rockhurst, Kayla Rice tallied 18 points to lead the game. In Springfield this season, UIS is 2-4.
Rice is first on the team and third in the GLVC in points with 17.6 per game. Niyah Udoiwod leads the team in field goal percentage at 57.8%.
