Miners Women's Basketball Welcome Saints on Thursday

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball continues their three-game homestand on Thursday against Maryville at 5:30 p.m.

Series History

The Saints are 17-11 all-time versus the Miners dating back to 1983. In their series in Rolla, the two teams are tied 6-6. In the two games last season, Maryville won both matchups. S&T's last win over Maryville came on Feb. 18, 2023, on the road, while their last home win was on Feb. 4, 2021.

About the Saints

Maryville holds a 7-9 overall record and 5-3 GLVC record so far this season. They are on a three-game winning streak with wins over Upper Iowa, Rockhurst and William Jewell. In their latest 81-52 victory over the Cardinals, Claire Rake had 16 points and Alicia Burgos tallied 12 rebounds. On the road this season, the Saints are 1-7.

Rake leads the Saints with 10.6 points per game, while Gracie Stugart leads on the glass with 7.5 rebounds per game. Stugart also leads the team with 35 steals and 126 assists. Stugart's 2.8 A/TO ratio is third in NCAA DII. As a team, the Saints' 1.26 A/TO ratio rank first in the GLVC ratio and 8.6 three-pointers made per game is second. About the Miners

S&T is 9-2 this season with a 4-1 GLVC record. They are on a four-game winning streak following their comeback win over Drury this past Saturday. In that 63-57 victory, S&T outscored the Panthers 22-13 in the fourth quarter to win the game. Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) had 17 points in that game and Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) recorded 12 points, six rebounds and five blocks. Going into this game, the Miners hold an 8-1 home record.

Roberts leads Missouri S&T with 10.9 points per game, while Gum is second at 10.7. Roberts is tied for 15th in NCAA DII with two blocks per game. Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) ranks eighth in the nation in A/TO ratio at 2.5. On the glass for S&T, Roberts leads with 5.2 rebounds per game. Even though the Miners were picked to finish 12th in the GLVC, they currently sit in fourth place, three spots above Maryville in seventh.
