S&T's Wooldridge named to second all-region team as member of D2CCA squad

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T utility player Bryn Wooldridge (Salisbury, Mo./Salisbury) has landed her second all-region honor in the past week as she was named today to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association's All-Midwest region softball team for the 2024 season.

Wooldridge was a second team selection at the utility-pitcher position, as she split her time between pitching and playing third base for the Miners over the course of the season.  She was the winning pitcher for the Miners in all four of their wins as S&T captured its first Great Lakes Valley Conference championship at the conference tournament in early May.

She finished the season with a record of 17-14  in the circle with a 3.33 earned run average.  She ranked fourth in the GLVC in strikeouts with 189 in 78 2/3 innings of work and recorded at least 10 strikeouts in seven games this season, including a career-high 13 in the GLVC championship game win over Indianapolis.

She was also the Miners' second-leading hitter with a .341 batting average, 26 runs batted in and 26 runs scored.  While manning third base for the Miners, Wooldridge committed only two errors in 169 chances over the course of the season between playing third and pitching.

Wooldridge is the first Miner to earn all-region honors in the D2CCA program since 2018, when Olivia Young earned the award as a second team a second team outfielder.  She was selected to the All-GLVC second team at the utility-pitcher spot and also earned second-team All-Midwest region honors last week from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
