Katelynne Roberts Earns Third Team All-GLVC in End of Season Awards

3/6/2024 11:45:00 AM

ROLLA, Mo.  –  The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) as part of this season's Third Team All-GLVC. Roberts efforts this season consistently kept her in the GLVC's top ten for scoring, field goal percentage, rebounding, and blocking.

Roberts ended the season with 493 points, the third most in the conference. She averaged 16.4 points per game which was eighth best. Her 229 rebounds averaged out to 7.6 per game, tying her for ninth in that statistic. Her 54% field goal percentage was fourth best as she made 187 field goals this season, second only to GLVC Player of the Year Reese Schaaf. Additionally, Roberts' 43 blocked shots ranked her fifth in the GLVC and is the sixth most in a Miner season history.

Roberts scored in double digits in all but three games this season, including a 22-game streak of double digit scoring that was the second longest in S&T history. She also recorded seven double-doubles on the season and scored 20 or more points in ten different contests.

Roberts' selection to an All-GLVC team marks the seventh straight season that the Miners have had someone selected to an all-conference team.

Additionally, Eryn Puett (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge) is S&T's nominee for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award this year. The nominees for that award must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees from full-time GLVC member institutions are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
