Miners Host Calvary Monday Before Heading to Vegas for Holiday Hoops Classic

ROLLA, Mo. & LAS VEGAS, Nev.  --  The Miners are still undefeated a month into the 2024-25 season with three new opponents on tap this week. They are one of only ten teams in Division II without a loss.
 
About the Warriors
Calvary University is 3-7 this season and are 1-0 against other NCCAA schools. Their conference win came against Central Christian College of the Bible last week, with a 76-62 victory.

The Warriors are third in the NCCAA in three-point percentage… shooting 36.2% with Lukan Most leading the team at 44.0%.
 
About the Rattlers
St. Mary's is 5-2 this season, with all five wins coming against Lone Star Conference opponents. They will face Midwestern State on Monday before taking on the Miners in their first game at the Holiday Hoops Classic.

The Rattlers are 17th in the country in rebounding margin, ranking fourth nationally in offensive rebounds per game with 17.43. Graduate Forward Lachlan Bofinger has been the primary catalyst in the Rattlers' offensive rebounding success, ranking 9th in Division II with 4.14 per game
 
About the Hilltoppers
West Liberty, along with the Miners, are one of the few remaining unbeaten teams in Division II this season, going 9-0. Their most recent victory was a 76-70 win against Charleston last week. They face West Virginia State tonight and Colorado School of Mines on Thursday ahead of Friday's game against S&T.

The Hilltoppers are 8th in the nation in points per game this season at 95.9, with every contest coming against NCAA Division II schools. They also rank fifth in the nation in assists per game (21.1) and eighth in assist/turnover ratio (1.76). They have struggled to shoot the ball well though, ranking 98th in the country going 46.8% from the field.
 
About the Miners
The Miners remain undefeated one month into the season, one of only ten teams left in the country without a loss. The Miners are 6-0 for the first time since 2016-17, with this being the seventh time in Miner history that they have won their first six games.
Lovell Williams (Rogers, MN/Maple Grove) is currently 8th in the nation in assist/ turnover ratio and is 9th in assists per game, with 6.3. Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) is top five in the GLVC in three key statistics: third in blocks per game (1.3), fourth in field goal percentage (60.0%), and fifth in rebounding (7.8).
 
S&T has dominated early opponents this season, averaging a conference-high 89.3 points per game and only allowing 66.0 points per game for the second fewest in the GLVC. They are 10th in the nation in field goal percentage, shooting 51.2% with Young leading the way at 60.0%.
