ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Swimming is back this weekend as they take on Missouri-St. Louis on Friday afternoon.
S&T is coming off a ninth-place finish at the House of Champions Invitational. Multiple Miners recorded career-bests including
Aidan Walters (Olathe, KS/Olathe East) in the 50-yard free with a time of 20.33.
Oscar Iden (Oslo, Norway/Oslo Private Gymnasium) had a career-high time of 48.12 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) collected a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM, clocking in with a season-best of 3:50.40.
After two meets out of the GLVC, the Miners have four regular season meets left including the Tritons. Last season versus UMSL, S&T narrowly lost 105-107. Bichsel and
Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) both picked up first-place finishes in that meet.
In the most recent CSCAA poll, the Miners are receiving votes in the top 25.
What's Next
Missouri S&T will take the rest of the month off until they are back in action when the calendar flips. On Jan. 11, S&T will travel to Quincy followed by Truman State on Jan. 18. The next weekend on Jan. 24, the Miners will come back home for their final meet of the year to face Rockhurst.
