About the Miners

S&T has a chance to make the GLVC Tournament for the sixth straight season this weekend. With a four-way tie in eighth place, if the Miners win both matches this weekend, they will clinch the eighth seed in the GLVC Tournament. If they lose one or both matches, they must get help around the GLVC to punch their ticket. The 2024 GLVC Tournament is scheduled for next weekend at Williamsville High School in Williamsville, Illinois.

Carrillo is ninth in the GLVC in kills per set at 3.63 and seventh in points per set with 4.23. Madison Smith (Boonville, MO/Boonville) has 1.20 blocks per set this season which ranks third in the GLVC. Monaco leads S&T with 3.60 digs per set and Carrillo is second at 3.42.
