KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Miners Men's Soccer settled for a draw on Sunday afternoon at Truman State.
Not even a minute into the match,
Mustafa Hasan (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) picked up a shot that was saved. After that shot, neither team recorded a shot on goal for the rest of the first half. In total, the Miners had seven total shots in the half with one shot on goal.
Six and a half minutes into the second half, S&T went up 1-0 thanks to an own goal.
Daylan Frerker (Collinsvillle, IL/Collinsville) had a free kick that went off a Truman defender and into the back of the net. Five minutes later,
Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) made his first save of the match with another in the 62
nd minute. With under a minute and a half to go in the match, Landon Keisker gave the Bulldogs a goal to tie the match at 1-1. That score held as both teams came away with a point.
Hasan collected one shot on goal with three total shots.
Mike Banasik (Loekkegade, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) had a shot on goal and two shots, while
Brendan Owens (St. Louis, MO/Fort Zumwalt South) recorded two shots.
Afxentis Andreou (Paphos, Cyprus/Lykeo Agios Charalambous) also had two shots for S&T. As a team, the Miners had 14 shots and three shots on goal. Bruhn made two saves for the Miners.
With the draw, S&T dropped to seventh place with a 4-4-4 conference record. The five through eight spots in the GLVC are all separated by four points from top to bottom. The full GLVC standings can be found

What's Next
S&T will come back home for their last regular season matches of the year. They are slated to play Southwest Baptist on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Rockhurst on Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m. The GLVC tournament will begin on Nov. 10.
