INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Men's Soccer dropped their Sunday match against (RV) Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon 3-0.
Both teams went into the locker room tied 0-0 as there was no scoring in the first half.
Julian Arsaether (Bergen, Norway/Asane Videregaende Skole) was denied in the 11
th minute by goalkeeper Ionas Giovanidis.
Nathan Weyrauch (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) and
Jimmy Sanchez (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell Central) picked up shots for the Miners in the first half.
In the second half, the Greyhounds took an early lead with a goal in the 47
th minute courtesy of Alvaro Sanchez. Jakob David scored in the 51
st minute and Landon Montfort made it 3-0 in the 54
th minute. S&T could not generate any more chances as they did not record a shot the rest of the way.
Arsaether collected the only shot on goal for the Miners, as
Mustafa Hasan (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh), Sanchez and Weyrauch all had one shot. In total, UIndy had 19 shots and 10 shots on goal.
Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) made two saves for S&T.
Sean Holland (Prairie Village, KS/Shawnee Mission East) came in for the first time this season with 15:25 left and made three saves.
The Miners moved to 6-4-2 and 3-3-2 in the conference this season.
What's Next
Missouri S&T will return home next weekend to face Quincy on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Upper Iowa on Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m. They will go back on the road to play William Jewell and Truman State on Oct. 25-27.
