ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Miners Men's Soccer fell 1-0 at Lewis on Friday night to fall to 6-3-2 this season.
In the first half, the Miners and Flyers remained scoreless, but Lewis picked up more scoring opportunities. They recorded 12 shots with four shots on goal to S&T's one total first half shot.
Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) made four saves in the half.
The first score of the game happened in the second half in the 61
st minute. Artus Gorodnickis scored the goal for Lewis and Cristian Perez picked up the assist. The Miners could not get a shot on goal in the second half.
Overall, S&T recorded three total shots.
Luke Giesing (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh),
Afxentis Andreou (Paphos, Cyprus/Lykeo Agios Charalambous) and
Mustafa Hasan (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) all had one shot for the Miners. Bruhn picked up eight saves in 19 total shots faced against the Flyers.

S&T is set to play Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. CT. Following that match, four of the next six matches against will be at home for the Miners. Their next match is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. against Quincy.
