ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T has established another record for academic honors by its student-athletes, as 48 individuals were selected today to the Council of Presidents Academic Excellence Award for the 2022-23 school year.

The Council of Presidents Academic Excellence awards – given this year to 490 student-athletes from the GLVC's 13 institutions -- are presented to student-athletes who have completed their athletic eligibility in their sports and played at least two seasons in the conference, all while maintaining a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the 2023 spring semester.

The 490-member list was headed by 23 individuals that completed their collegiate careers with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.  That list includes four Missouri S&T student-athletes – Parker Boyce from the football team, Aubrie Caldwell from the women's cross country and track & field team, Kassandra Hayes from the women's track & field team and Marissa Menendez from the women's soccer team.

Among the 48 S&T recipients, nine are members of the baseball team and seven apiece are from the football, men's and women's cross country and track programs and the women's soccer program.  The list also include five student-athletes from the swimming team, two apiece from the women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, while the men's golf and men's soccer each had one individual selected.
