ROLLA, Mo. - The Missouri S&T women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Friday, hosting the Panthers of Principia College for a non-conference matchup at 1 p.m. in Gibson Arena.

The Miners (6-5, 3-1 GLVC) enter this game on a three-game winning streak with their latest victory coming against Missouri Baptist 68-56 on Dec. 19. In that win,
Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones) led S&T with 18 points while shooting a perfect eight-of-eight from the free-throw line.
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) recorded her 26th career double-double as she contributed 15 points while bringing down a team-high 10 rebounds while adding three blocks.
Kristen Keys (St. Louis, MO/Westminster Christian Academy) concluded the decision with eight points while securing six rebounds.

In the month of December, the Miners are 3-0 with their last two victories coming at Gibson Arena. During the month, Kerr is averaging a double-double with 16.6 points while averaging 12 rebounds per contest while Rodriguez is averaging 16.3 points per decision and shooting 38.4 percent from behind the arc. Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) has knocked down 20-of-26 attempts from the free three line.

The Panthers (5-3, 0-0 SLIAC) enter this decision after suffering their first road loss of the season to Aurora 84-76 on Dec. 16. Ariana Williams, a true freshman, led all scorers with 23 points while securing nine rebounds and seven steals. Taylor Brown contributed 19 points while hauling down six rebounds and four steals. Paige Fowler recorded her first double-double adding 15 points while bringing down 13 rebounds. Â

This game will serve as an exhibition contest for Principia and will be the last non-conference game for the Miners in the 2022-23 season.
