ROLLA, Mo. - The Missouri S&T women's basketball team will travel to the University of Central Oklahoma to participate in the two-day UCO Classic, facing the host Bronchos at 7:30 p.m Friday night and the Jets of Newman University at 4:30 p.m. Saturday evening in Hamilton Fieldhouse.

This weekend's events will be the first two of three straight contest against opponents from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, as the Miners will also play at Missouri Southern on the day before Thanksgiving.

The Miners (1-2) routed the Patriots of Baptist Bible 88-48 in its home opener last Tuesday night in Gibson Arena as Addyson Kent (North Vernon, IN/Jennings County) led all Miners with 18 points on six three-point baskets and grabbed five rebounds in just under 21 minutes. Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) contributed 16 points and five rebounds with the only block in the game, while Kristen Keys (St. Louis, MO/Westminster Christian Academy) added 12 points and Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) chipped in 10 points and led all Miners with seven rebounds. The Bronchos:
Central Oklahoma (0-0) will open its 2022-23 season hosting the Miners in the UCO Classic. This season, the Bronchos added five transfers to add depth in several positions. Brooke Rayner is the top returning scorer as she averaged 10.4 points per game and led the Bronchos with 69 steals a season ago.

The Bronchos were scheduled to open their season last weekend, but a snowstorm in the upper Midwest forced the cancellation of the event they were to take part in at the University of Mary.

The Jets:
The Newman Jets (0-1) enter the UCO Classic coming off a 99-90 defeat at Wayne State last Friday night. Lauryn Dubbert led the Jets with 24 points and eight rebounds with Britney Ho contributed 23 points on five rebounds.
