For the Miners, Anna Finley led all S&T scorers with 16 points on three rebounds and three steals. Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) contributed 11 points and led all Miners in rebounds with eight and Kristen Keys (St. Louis, MO/Westminster Christian Academy) added 10 points while grabbing five rebounds. The Miners got 21 points from their bench players in the contest.

About the Opponents:
The Bible Baptist College Patriots (1-5) enter the game coming off an 84-61 defeat at Stephens College on Nov. 15. Leading the Patriots in scoring was Cassidy Hambelton with 27 points while Hailey Shannon contributed 13 points; making them the only two players in double figures in the contest. Through six games, the Patriots have five players averaging more than 10 points per game. Hambelton, a true freshman, is leading Baptist Bible with 19.6 points and five assists per game.

Gabby Adams is the top returning scorer for the Patriots as she averaged 12.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game last season while averaging 29 minutes per game.

Milestones achieved and in reach for the 2022-23 season:
At the 11:21 mark in the third quarter of the season opener against Wisconsin-Parkside, Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) passed Leah Kessenich for fourth place on the all-time rebounding list. In addition, Kerr only needs six more made field goals to tie Hailee Parks for seventh place all-time. Kerr entered the 2022-23 season needing 225 rebounds to tie Tanya Hough's all time record of 913. Currently, she is 213 rebounds away from that record. She can reach this milestone if she averages just over eight rebounds per game for the remainder of the regular season.

Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones) has made 139 career three-point baskets which is 12 behind Janie Arand for fourth place all-time.

This game will serve as an exhibition game for Baptist Bible.
