ROMEOVILLE, IL.- The Miners opened up their final regular season weekend on the road at Lewis today. The Flyer's defense held S&T to minimal offense today and handed the Miners 2-0 and 9-1 losses.

In the opening game of the series, Elizabeth Viox (Glen Carbon, Ill./Edwardsville) was the only Miner hitter to record a hit. She singled into the top of the 2^nd inning and would be one of just three base runners for S&T in the first game.

Bryn Wooldridge (Salisbury, Mo./Salisbury) got the start for game one going the full 6.0 innings with four strikeouts recorded.

While S&T struck first in the second game of the day, it was all Lewis the rest of the game.

In the top of the 1^st inning, Bryn Wooldridge (Salisbury, Mo./Salisbury) recorded an RBI single when she sent a ball into the outfield and brought Elizabeth Viox (Glen Carbon, Ill./Edwardsville) across the plate for the 1-0 lead. The Flyers would add in nine combined runs through five innings to take the 9-1 win.

Charlye Rowland (Pearcy, Ark./Lake Hamilton) pitched 4.2 innings in game two with four strikeouts recorded.
