ROLLA, MO- The Miners (2-8-1, 2-8-1 GLVC) rounded out their final doubleheader weekend series with the Greyhounds of Indianapolis (9-1-1, 9-1-1 GLVC). While S&T struck early in the match, UIndy would get three consecutive goals to end up with the 3-2 final.
Madeline Goeke (Florissant, Mo./Duchesne) recorded her first goal of the season in the 7' of the game when
Marissa Menendez (Chesterfield, Mo./Villa Duchesne) found her in the box and connected with the back of the net to give the Miners a quick 1-0 lead.
S&T would hold their lead for almost 10 minutes before the Greyhounds struck. Kiki Sauceda scored back-to-back goals in 90 seconds time to give UIndy the 2-1 lead. Dana Youssef would add in one more goal for the Hounds in the 31' to extend their lead out to 3-1 heading into halftime.
Sydney Gratz (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) picked up her third goal of the season and cut the Miners deficit to 3-2 in the 64' of play. S&T would see multiple opportunities to tie the match, but UIndy's goalkeeper, Laura Shake, was able to save each one and hand S&T the 3-2 loss.

Cameryn Boucher (Chandler, Ariz./Basha),
Ally Hasken (Freeport, IL/Freeport), Marissa Menedez, and
Melanie Kulig (Belleville, Ill./Belleville Township) all recorded shots on-goal today.
Rylee Hanes (Ladera Ranch, Calif./San Juan Hills) got the start in goal today going 21 minutes in net and recording one save.
Kristin Steins (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway South) finished out the remaining 68 minutes in goal and recorded two saves.
