ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T head softball coach Cathy Monroe announced the Miner's 2022 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The 50-game slate includes trips to a pair of early season tournaments in Tennessee and Kentucky with several non-conference contests against teams from the MIAA and a 28-game GLVC slate that opens on March 11.
 
"We are eager to start the 2022 season on February 18th. We have a lot of familiar faces returning and several newcomers that will make for an exciting year," Monroe said. "The team has been working very hard this fall and I'm looking forward to seeing what this team can accomplish this spring."
 
Opening day for the Miners comes February 18 at the Music City Invitational hosted by Trevecca Nazarene. S&T opens the season with six games at the event, with two games each day over the course of the three day event. The Miners take on host TNU and Parkside Friday, Findlay and Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday March 19 and Tiffin and Ferris State Sunday February 20.
 
The Miners then make the short trip up Highway 63 to Jefferson City for a Wednesday doubleheader against Lincoln February 23 before heading to the Bluegrass State for the Kentucky Wesleyan Blue Bridge Battle February 25-27. S&T takes on the hosts KWU and Ohio Dominican on day one, Cedarville and Trevecca Nazarene on day two and closes out the weekend against Davis & Elkins and Wheeling.
 
Up next, S&T heads to Topeka, Kansas for four games against foes from the MIAA, taking on Washburn March 5 and Fort Hays State March 6.
 
GLVC action kicks off Friday March 11 when the Miners head to Liberty for two games against William Jewell before returning home for the first of eight games at the Missouri S&T Softball Field, starting with a doubleheader against William Jewell March 13. Southwest Baptist comes town for a twin bill March 19 followed by Rockhurst on March 20.
 
The Miners step out of conference play for two games against Cottey College on March 25 before heading to Drury on March 27 for a GLVC doubleheader. Lincoln makes the return trip to Rolla for a pair on March 30 and the month of April kicks off with a trip to the St. Louis area, with games at Lindenwood and Maryville April 2-3.
 
McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis comes to Rolla the following weekend April 9-10 before the Green 7 Gold hit the road for six games against Quincy on April 16, UIndy on April 23 and Southern Indiana on April 24. The final four games of the regular season will be home contests for S&T, with Illinois Springfield due up April 30 before the regular season closes May 1 against Lewis.
 
The 2022 GLVC Softball Championships with be held May 5-8 at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria, Illinois.
