ROLLA, MO- With the 2019-20 athletic season completed, we want to take a look back at the past decade and determine the all-decade teams for the Miner squads during the course of the 2010s.  Today's installment in the series will look at the top Miner softball players, by position, over the last decade.
 

	Starting Pitcher: Avery English (Carterville, IL/Carterville) (5-7; 2017-2020) English finished her career 10th in career game pitched at 88 and 8th in career innings pitched (513.2) while also ranking 8th in career wins (38), 6th in career complete games, and 7th in career strikeouts (308). English was named All-GLVC three years in a row (2017, 2018, 2019)
	Relief Pitcher: Becca Strope (5-7, 2012-2015) Strope etched herself in the record books at 10th in career innings pitched (417), 8th in career games pitched (95), and had a career best 1.67 ERA in the 2013 season, which is 8th best in the programs run. Strope recorded nine shut-outs, five saves, 231 strikeouts, and was named All-GLVC West in the 2013 season.
	Catcher: Kaylea Smith (5-8, 2010-2013) Smith ended her career with a .341 career batting average and 154 hits while being ranked 3rd all-time with 24 homeruns, 4th in career RBI (100), and 4th in career doubles (37). Smith was named All-GLVC, CoSIDA Academic All-District, Daktronics All-Midwest Region, NFCA All-Midwest Region, and a CoSIDA Academic All-American in the 2013 season.
	1st Base: Olivia Young (Millstadt, IL/Belleville Township) (5-9, 2017-2020) Young finished her career 5th in career doubles (35), 5th in career homeruns (19), 1st in homeruns for a single season, 5th in career RBI (93), and 1st for RBI in a single season. Young was named All-GLVC, D2CCA All-Midwest Region, and Google Cloud Academic All-District in 2018 while also being named CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2020.
	2nd Base: Andi Davis (5-4, 2013-2016) Davis is currently ranked 9th in career at-bats, 7th in career hits (183), and 10th in career batting average (.336). Davis accumulated 93 runs scored and 40 stolen bases.
	3rd Base: Monica Weiss (5-6, 2015-2018) Weiss finished her career 6th in career hits (197), 8th in hits in a single season, 4th in career batting average (.347), 8th in career runs scored (103), 5th in career stolen bases (64), and 3rd for stolen bases in a single season. Weiss was named All-GLVC in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
	Shortstop: Abby Klein (Kansas City, MO/Staley) (5-4, 2017-2020) Klein finished her career ranked 4th in career hits (177), 5th in hits in a single season, 4th in batting average for a single season, 10th in runs scored in a single season, 6th in career stolen bases (62), and 4th in stolen bases in a single season. Klein was named All-GLVC and NFCA All-Region in the 2018 season.
	Outfielder: Shelby Michaelis (5-4, 2012-2015) Michaelis is currently ranked 6th in triples for a single season, 7th in career homeruns (17), and 9th in homeruns for a single season. She accumulated 152 hits and a .323 career batting average while also being named All-GLVC West in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
	Outfielder: Carly Hamann (5-3, 2016-2019) Hamann finished her career 8th in career doubles (30) while finishing her career with a .263 batting average, 126 runs scored, and 17 multi-hits games.
	Outfielder: Kate Runyan (5-7, 2010-2013) Runyan finished her career with a .278 batting average with 131 hits and 59 runs scored in 178 games played.
	Utility Player: Kristen Drage (5-9, 2008-2011) Drage is currently 10th all-time in career hits (171), 5th in hits in a single season, 8th in career batting average (.340), 6th in batting average in a single season, 4th in career doubles (37), and 4th in doubles in a single season. Drage was named All-GLVC, Daktronics All-Midwest Region, Louisville Slugger All-Midwest Region, NFCA All-Midwest Region, and a Louisville Slugger, NFCA, and Daktronics All-American.
