ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's basketball team has spent most of the last month away from home, but will play six of its final eight games at Gibson Arena beginning with Thursday's Great Lakes Valley Conference contest against McKendree at 7:30 p.m.

The Miners – who will also face Southern Indiana this week as the Screaming Eagles come to Gibson Arena Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest -- are looking to get back into the win column as they come into the game with a four-game losing streak following Saturday's 93-76 loss at Southwest Baptist.  The Miners were within seven with seven minutes to play, but couldn't withstand a late surge by SBU that dropped S&T to 4-14 overall and 2-10 in the GLVC.

CJ Hedgepeth (Evansville, IN/Harrison) led the Miner with 16 points in Saturday's setback and is one of three double figure scorers for the Miners entering Thursday's game with an average of 13.1 points per game.  Hedgepeth also leads the Miners with 47 three-point field goals, 53 assists and 33 steals.

Dulan Scott (Chicago, IL/Farragut Academy), who is closing in on the 1,000-point mark in his Miner career, leads the Miners with an average of 14.2 points per game and Mitch Fairless (St. Charles, MO/Duchesne) is averaging 11.5 per game as he has scored in double figures in each of his last five outings.  Jordan Newt (San Francisco, CA/Malibu), who is just outside of double figures, is shooting 43 percent from three-point range and has made 40 shots from beyond the arc.

ABOUT McKENDREE: The Bearcats enter Thursday's game with an 11-9 overall record and 6-6 mark in the GLVC following their 77-68 road loss Saturday to conference leader Missouri-St. Louis.  McKendree has not had a streak of wins or losses this season of more than three games at any time during the year.

Logan Kohrmann, the reigning GLVC Player of the Week who poured in a career-high 39 points in the Bearcats' 121-116 overtime win last Thursday at Lindenwood, leads McKendree in scoring with an average of 19.5 points per game.  Kohrmann ranks third in the GLVC in scoring entering play this week and has led the Bearcats in scoring in six straight games, which included a 27-point effort in the loss at UMSL.

Oliver Stephen is also averaging in double figures for McKendree with his mark of 12.2 points per contest and has made 65 three-pointers, the second-most in the GLVC, while shooting 43.9 percent from beyond the arc.  Freshman Bryson Bultman is the Bearcats' leader on the boards with 6.3 per game and in assists with 68.

ABOUT SOUTHERN INDIANA: The Screaming Eagles -- who reached the NCAA Division II semifinals a year ago -- bounced back from a loss to GLVC leader Missouri-St. Louis with an 83-74 win Saturday at Lindenwood behind 29 points from Emmanuel Little, who scored his 1,000th career point in the process.  USI overcame a four-point halftime deficit by holding the Lions to 36 percent shooting over the final 20 minutes.

Little leads the Screaming Eagles in scoring with an average of 16 points per game and in rebounding with 7.8 per game, while Josh Price has averages of 13.3 points and 7.7 boards per contest.  That duo has also combined for 44 steals on the season as well as 37 blocked shots, with Price's 22 ranking fifth in the GLVC.

Mateo Rivera is also in double figures with an average of 12 points per game as is Joe Laravie at 11.4 points per game; the latter leads USI with 50 assists and 28 three-point baskets while Rivera is shooting 49 percent from beyond the arc.
