EAST PEORIA, ILL- The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Wednesday night their selections for All-Conference honors. Among them, junior pitcher Avery English (Carterville, IL/Carterville) was named to the Third Team.

English, who spent the opening part of the season recovering from injury, came back in a major way for S&T. She helped the Miners to nine wins in 19 appearances and had the 5th best ERA in the league at 2.14. In just 108.0 innings of work, she recorded 66 strikeouts and just 28 walks to go along with her 9-7 record. She also picked up one hit and scored two runs this season.

English is no stranger to this position; this is the third consecutive year that she has been named Third Team All-GLVC.

Truman State's Christa Reisinger and Emma Walbert were selected as the GLVC's Player and the Freshman of the Year respectively while Southern Indiana's Jennifer Leonhardt was named the Pitcher of the Year. Amanda Scott of Missouri-St. Louis was voted by her peers as the league's Coach of the Year. A complete list of the 2019 All-GLVC selection can be found below.
