LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Missouri S&T's men's soccer team ran into a team that has not lost a game in over a year Sunday afternoon and 10
th-ranked Bellarmine was able to extend its unbeaten streak to 24 games with a 4-0 victory over the Miners in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Knights (11-0-4, 8-0-4 GLVC) scored twice in each half to send S&T (5-8-2, 4-7-2 GLVC) to its third straight loss.
Bellarmine got two goals from Micah Linscott, the first coming in the seventh minute of play to begin the scoring. The Knights also got a goal from Eddie Williamson in the 17
th minute, Linscott's second tally in the 64
th minute and the last from Haziq Zed in the 73
rd minute.
The Knights had a 16-9 advantage in shots and had nine shots on net to S&T's two, which came from
Sigurd Semlitsch (Oslo, Norway/Stabekk Videregaaende Skole) and
Austin Parks (Rolla, MO/Rolla).
Michael Sallee (Springfield, MO/Catholic), who was making his first career start in goal, finished with five saves.
Missouri S&T will return to action Friday when it faces McKendree at 7:30 p.m. in Lebanon, Ill.
