Box Score (Rolla, Mo.) – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners fell to McKendree 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at the S&T Soccer Field.

McKendree (4-3-2, 2-2-2 GLVC) scored the first goal of the game at the 23:04 mark when Alyssa Reiniger tapped home a cross from Alyssa Patterson. The Bearcats scored again in the 43^rd minute when Lauren Mantei chipped in a shot over Madison Gibler (Kansas City, Mo./Staley) off a pass from Mary Geiger.

McKendree outshot the Lady Miners (1-3-2 overall and GLVC) 6-3 in the opening 45 minutes and 4-0 in shots on goal. S&T did have two corner kicks to the Bearcats one.

The Lady Miners had a couple of chances in the second half to get back into the contest, but were unable to convert. McKendree added the third goal with less than four minutes to play. Amy Cassiday took a pass from Allie Hayes and fired a shot inside right post for her second of the season.

The Bearcats finished the match outshooting S&T by a 14-7 margin and 8-2 in shots on goal. The Lady Miners had the edge in corner kicks with five compared to three for McKendree.

Gibler stopped five shots while Sammy Minea (Leawood, Kan./Blue Valley North ) and Catherine Hawn (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) each had a shot on goal.

S&T returns to action this Friday traveling to St. Louis to take on Maryville beginning at 4 p.m.
