ROLLA, Mo. – Fresh off its first victory of the 2013 season, Missouri S&T opens up a three-game stretch away from Allgood-Bailey Stadium Saturday with its final non-conference game of the year against Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.
Game time at Harlen Hunter Stadium is at 6 p.m.
The Miners rallied from an early 14-0 deficit last Saturday with 27 unanswered points to knock off Wisconsin-LaCrosse 27-14.
Zenel Hudson (Bayshore, N.Y./Milford Academy), the offensive "Player of the Week" in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, rushed for a career-high 222 yards, the second-most in a game in school and conference history. While Hudson was having his big day, the Miner defense was holding the Eagles to just 232 yards of offense and only 108 in the second half.
Hudson currently ranks in a tie for second in the GLVC in rushing with 341 yards on the year, while

Defensively,
Chris Emesih (Houston, Texas/Westfield) has a team-high 27 tackles for S&T and has one of the unit's five quarterback sacks, while
Chris Horn (Tulsa, Okla./Booker T. Washington) and
Sean Martin (South Holland, Ill./Seton Academy) each had an interception Saturday – the first two turnovers forced by the Miners this year.
Lindenwood brings the ninth-best passing attack in NCAA Division II into Saturday's contest, as the Lions are averaging 355 yards per game through the air. Quarterback Dillon Miller has completed 60 percent of his throws for 1,032 yards and six touchdowns and is coming off a 390-yard passing effort in the Lions' 47-28 loss Saturday at Central Missouri.
The Lions, who are 2-1 on the year, have three receivers with at least 18 catches apiece led by Jaron Alexander with 22 receptions for 243 yards. Alex Robinson, who has 18 receptions, has four touchdown catches among them and running back Marvin Byrd has scored three times as he leads the Lions with 263 yards on the ground.
Linebacker Connor Harris leads Lindenwood's defense with 33 tackles and cornerback Pierre Desir, considered to be one of the top players at his position in NCAA Division II, has one of the Lions' three interceptions.
Missouri S&T beat Lindenwood 19-13 two seasons ago in Rolla in the only previous meeting between the schools.
