(Rolla, Mo.) – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners look to bounce back from its 76-59 loss at sixth ranked Drury last Thursday when it takes the court on Monday at Lindenwood in a 5:30 p.m. tip-off at the Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo. S&T looks to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Lady Miners struggled on the defensive end last Thursday allowing the Lady Panthers to score 76 points, 46 of which came in the second half. Drury shot 56 percent in the second half of that contest after shooting just 21 percent in the opening frame. The difference was at the foul line where the Lady Panthers shot 87 percent (20-for-23) while S&T was 10-of-15 (67 percent). Drury also controlled the boards grabbing 46 rebounds, 18 offensive, turning those into 20 second chance points. Mia Wesley (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) and Senait McLeod (Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) led S&T with 19 and 12 points respectively while Karli Sample (St. Joseph, Mo./Benton) pulled down a career best 12 rebounds.

Lindenwood enters Saturday's contest having won five straight and six of its first eight contests. Saturday's game marks the end of a six-game homestand for the Lady Lions. Over the last five games Lindenwood is averaging 82.6 points per game while allowing just 64.6 per outing. The Lady Lions have four players averaging double figures in scoring led by Marissa Lehnig with 13.1 ppg. Bourlioux leads the team in rebounding with 6.0 per game while Johnson is second with 5.6 per contest.

Monday's game marks the 10th meeting all-time between the Lady Miners and Lindenwood with S&T having won eight of the first nine. Last season the Lady Miners defeated the Lady Lions 70-47 on Dec. 19 in Rolla. This will be just the second meeting all-time in St. Charles. The first meeting took place on Dec. 4, 1982 and was won by S&T 72-53. That contest was also the first meeting in the series.

This will be the next to last game for the Lady Miners before the Christmas break. S&T closes out the first half of its schedule next Saturday traveling to Arkadelphia, Ark., to take on Henderson State at 2 p.m.
