Lady Miners drop third straight in 3-0 loss at Bellarmine

(Louisville, Ky.) – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners dropped its third straight match losing 3-0 at Bellarmine on Sunday afternoon.

Bellarmine (9-4-1, 8-3-1 GLVC) dominated the match outshooting the Lady Miners (6-6, 6-6 GLVC) 12-2 and 9-1 in shots on goal.

The Knights scored the game's first goal in the 44th minute on an unassisted goal by Reyna  Naranjo.

Bellarmine added two more in the second half scoring in the 64th and 66th minutes.

Kelsey Kurilla (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) made five saves for S&T while Leah Williams (Lawrence, Kan./Free State) and Kimberly Ekholm (Houston, Texas/Cy-Springs ) had the only shots.

The Lady Miners dropped to seventh place in the league standings and need to win at least one game this coming weekend against either Saint Joseph's or Indianapolis to clinch their first ever trip to the GLVC Tournament.

S&T will play its final two home games of the regular season this weekend beginning on Friday night against Saint Joseph's at 7:30 p.m.
