Box Score Springfield, Ill. - The Missouri S&T Lady Miners dropped its fourth straight match 3-1 (25-13, 21-25, 16-25 and 19-25) at Illinois-Springfield on Friday evening in Springfield, Ill.

The Lady Miners (6-21) had 40 kills in the match compared to 39 for the Prairie Stars (13-19) but committed 34 attack errors against 28 for UIS.

Jessica Laughary (Wheaton, Mo./Wheaton) had eight kills to lead S&T while Samantha Klump (Ash Grove, Mo./Homeschooled) finished with seven. Tory Smiley had 25 set assists and Bridget Williams (Topeka, Kan./Hayden) had 14 digs.

Cayla Baggerly led all players with 10 kills.

The Lady Miners return to action tomorrow afternoon at Quincy University beginning at 3 p.m.
