Biography
2017: Finished second on the team in tackles with 78, including 51 solo stops and 16 tackles for a loss…also recorded 5.5 quarterback sacks and two interceptions in earning second-team All-GLVC honors…had 12 tackles in the win over Saint Francis (Ill.) and 11 against NCAA Division II national finalist West Florida…earned second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors following the season.
2016: Earned second-team All-GLVC honors following the 2016 season after leading the Miners with 94 tackles…had 49 solo stops and 15 tackles for a loss…added four sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles…reached double figures in tackles on six occasions, led by games of 13 tackles against West Florida and McKendree.
2015: Named second-team All-GLVC in 2015...led the Miners in tackles during his first season on the field at S&T...recorded 85 stops, including 47 solo hits, with 8.5 of the tackles being for a loss...also had four pass breakups and was in on two sacks...earned GLVC "Player of the Week" honors after recording nine tackles (3.5 for a loss) in the win over Saint Joseph's.
2014: Redshirted for the 2014 season.
High School: Earned all-state and all-conference honors following the 2013 season as a linebacker for the Missouri Class 2 state champions…recorded 114 tackles during his senior year...Dean's List student at Missouri S&T.
Personal: Attended Lamar High School, where his coach was Scott Bailey…son of Larry and JoJo Compton…plans to major in aerospace and mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
