Signe Mueller enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Lady Miners. Mueller played for four years at the University of Iowa as a defensive specialist from 2007-10 and was the team's captain her senior year.

Mark Mullin, S&T's director of athletics. “Her experience, enthusiasm, and personality will be great assets to our volleyball program, the department, and the campus. We are excited for her to get started.”

Jason Holt. “Her high level playing experience will bring so much to the players and myself in the still growing Miner volleyball program. Her extensive defensive knowledge will fit in perfectly with what we try to do here as a team on the court. Signe is very ambitious, focused, intelligent and is incredibly excited to get into college coaching as a career. We really feel we have found a coaching gem in her and know she will help Miner volleyball get to that next level.”

Mueller earned her degree in Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology. She was a member of the Dean's list and an Academic-All Big Ten selection in 2008-09. Mueller coached the Iowa Rockets volleyball club for five seasons (2007-11) and led the 16 and under team to the Amateur Athletics Union (AAU) national championship in 2011.
This past year she was the head freshman and assistant varsity coach at Sweetwater High School in San Diego, Calif. While in San Diego she also coached the Coast club volleyball program. Mueller also served as an admissions counselor at Ashford University in San Diego.
