Biography
2008: Repeated as the GLVC indoor champion in the pole vault and followed with a runner-up finish in the outdoor pole vault at the league meet…cleared school record heights in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, reaching her indoor mark of 11-8 to win the league title…set the outdoor mark of 11-9 3/4 early in the season that met the NCAA Division II provisional standard (she also provisionally qualified indoors)…earned All-GLVC honors in both seasons…earned GLVC “Athlete of the Week” honors on two occasions during the season.
2007: Established new school records in the indoor and outdoor pole vault, where she doubled as the GLVC champion…won the outdoor event with a mark of 11-6 1/4 with fewer misses in the competition and cleared 11-2 1/4 to edge out Lewis’s Sarah King to take the indoor championship…had a seasonal best mark of 11-7 1/4 at SIU Edwardsville during the season to get the outdoor record and make an NCAA provisional standard.
2006: Set a new school record in the outdoor pole vault with a mark of 10-6 during the Godfather’s Division II Challenge at Emporia State...finished second at the GLVC Outdoor Championships with a clearance of 10-2...was third during the league’s indoor meet as she cleared the bar at 9-11 1/4...had a 10-foot clearance at Central Missouri during the indoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was her team's highest point scorer in each of her four years of high school competition...was a state qualifier in the pole vault and cleared 9-6 at the 2004 Illinois AA state meet...cleared 10 feet at the high school level and had a personal best of 49.6 seconds in the 300-hurdles.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 3, 1986 in Seoul, South Korea...daughter of Gary and Phyllis Hahn...parents were selected as the university’s “Parents of the Year” at Missouri S&T’s Family Weekend in 2007…attended Salem High School…majoring in chemistry with an emphasis on pre-medicine and biological sciences.
