Biography
2024: Played in 10 games at linebacker during the season, finishing with 12 solo tackles and 17 overall…had a season-high three tackles at Upper Iowa…recorded three tackles behind the line of scrimmage, getting 1.5 in the win over Lincoln (Calif.)…member of the GLVC All-Academic team…recipient of Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award from the GLVC for a 4.0 grade point average during the entire academic year.
2023: Recorded three tackles, including one for a loss, while playing primarily in a reserve role at linebacker...also had two interceptions, both of which came at Southwest Baptist and one that was returned 52 yards for a touchdown...earned GLVC Player of the Week honors after the SBU game...member of GLVC All-Academic team and Brother James Gaffney Distiinguished Scholar honoree...also named to the CSC Academic All-District team.
2022: Played in four games during the season, primarily on special teams and at wide receiver...member of GLVC All-Academic team and named as a Br. James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar by the GLVC.
2021: Redshirted for the season...member of GLVC All-Academic team.
High School: Earned honorable mention all-conference honors...was named among the 2021 Missouri Scholars 100, which honors 100 of the top academic students in that year's graduating class.
Personal: Attended Park Hill High School, where his coach was Josh Hood...son of Michael and Heather Shafe...earned his bachelor's degree in in electrical engineering at Missouri S&T and is working on his master's in that field.
